As part of our monthly Coffee Morning series, we were delighted to host a special session in support of The OLLIE Foundation, bringing together over 40 members of our campus community. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised over £300 to support the charity’s vital work in suicide prevention and mental well-being.
This session was held in the spirit of Mental Health Week in October, emphasizing the importance of connection, reflection, and support. Attendees enjoyed a morning of homemade bakes, meaningful conversations, and well-being activities such as the Worry Tree, which encourages reflection and positivity.
Beyond supporting a worthy cause, the Coffee Morning provided opportunities for networking and collaboration between Rothamsted Research scientists and campus-based businesses, showing how professional engagement and community spirit can go hand-in-hand.
A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated, or simply joined us — your presence and generosity made the morning a memorable success. It was a wonderful demonstration of what our campus community can achieve when we come together for a common cause.
We’re already looking forward to the next Coffee Morning in our series — more activities, more conversations, and more opportunities to support each other and our wider community.
