Rothamsted is a thriving campus with three sites, and is home to Rothamsted Research – the world’s oldest agricultural research institute, Rothamsted Enterprises, over 40 agritech businesses, Rothamsted Scientific Services, and our landowners, the Lawes Agricultural Trust.
The Rothamsted Harpenden estate in Hertfordshire occupies a strategic location at the heart of the Golden Triangle between London, Cambridge and Oxford. Rothamsted partners with Hertfordshire Innovation Quarter: the only enterprise zone in the county with a remit to encourage growth in environmental technologies including agritech. We also work closely with Hertfordshire Futures, which is tasked with growing the Hertfordshire economy through targeted investment in innovation, skills, and business support.
