Customer Services Supervisor

This exciting role is based with the Rothamsted Enterprises Operations team in a customer facing role. This role is located at one of our receptions and offers a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their skill set in a dynamic and varied job role.
For this position, you should be able to use your organisational skills to manage your workload and your time, as you will collaborate with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment. If you are experienced in customer service, calm under pressure, thrive in a busy work environment and have a positive attitude, this could be the perfect role for you.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be passionate about hospitality, sustainability, and customer service.
This is a full-time, 37 hours per week post, working from Harpenden site with permanent contract.

Sous Chef

Do you have a passion for cooking, but are fed up with the long hours ? Are you keen to showcase your passion for hospitality in an environment that cares about it’s employees?

Rothamsted Enterprises have three catering premises on site at Harpenden, from our café open to the public, a large conference centre that can accommodate up to 500 guests and our recently launched grade 1 listed Manor as an events venue.  

Jez Beasley leads the kitchen team and we have two Commis Chefs who can take care of the café and conference centre. We are now looking for an experienced Sous Chef to work with us on a part time, full time or flexible basis to support the Manor business as we slowly build up the business. All our venues are non-residential, so the number of evening functions currently is limited, however we are looking for someone who can support in taking our business to the next level.
