Events Team Leader

Overview Of Role

Rothamsted Enterprises is recruiting for an Events Team Leader to work as part of a flexible team, providing front of house service in the hospitality areas of the Rothamsted Enterprises portfolio.

The role holder is responsible for the successful delivery of a range of events, such as conferences, meetings, and private events, including weddings and parties. They will ensure the smooth running of events and will be the main point of contact for clients on their arrival to our venues.

The Events team leader will be responsible for the day – to- day running of the restaurant front of house team, and will be covering the barista station during quiet period. 

The role includes supervising and coordinating casual team members, leading by example, motivating the team, and ensuring staff conduct themselves in a way that reflects our business ethos and high standards.

The Events Team Leader will deliver staff briefings and delegate responsibility appropriately to the team, whilst also being hands-on. They will be quick to respond to client request will report feedback to the Hospitality Manager.

This role will also be involved in planning and facilitating commercial filming as and when it occurs, pulling together schedules and overseeing activity on site.

The Team Leader is required to encourage and report customer feedback to the kitchen team and wider Rothamsted Enterprises team to enable us to collectively identify solutions and ideas to rectify issues and continually strive to improve our business.

The salary is based on 25 hours per week.  Additional paid working hours will be expected, depending on business needs. Flexibility in working hours is essential for this role.

Customer Service Supervisor

Overview of Role

The Customer Services Supervisor is based at the campus receptions and works across all elements of the campus and with a variety of stakeholders. The post holder will be a first point of contact for all areas of the business and will consistently need to present, demonstrating excellent conduct and high standards in their role and communication with all stakeholders.

On a rotating rostered schedule, the job role will be based at one of 2 main locations: Russell Building Reception or Conference Centre (Main) Reception. The role may also occasionally be based at Rothamsted Manor House on an ad-hoc basis. The post holder will report into the Operations Manager and will work with the rest of the Operations Team to uphold existing processes and procedures across the business and ensure consistency is maintained. The successful candidate will work across all areas of our business and must liaise closely with all departments to ensure an excellent customer experience is upheld; consistently meeting expectations.

The post attracts a salary ranging between £25,000 and £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience, for 37 hours per week.
