Emma made her West End debut as Truly Scrumptious in the original cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, winning the Arts Correspondents’ Award for Best Newcomer.

Emma is a four time Olivier Award nominee, for her portrayals of Maureen in Mrs Henderson Presents (Noel Coward Theatre), Luisa in Zorro (Garrick Theatre), Jenny in Love Story (Chichester/Duchess) and Helen Walsingham in Half A Sixpence (Chichester/Noël Coward), for which she also won the WhatsOnStage and West End Wilma Awards.

As well as making a name for herself in theatre, Emma frequently appears in leading roles on television, film and radio as well as performing extensively in workshops and concerts. Most recently Emma has been voicing Mama Bunny for Dreamworks’ Rhyme Time Town on Netflix and singing with the Liverpool Philharmonic and Tasmania Symphonic Orchestras. She is currently editing her first novel and pre-pandemic was rehearsing the role of Nelly Forbush for the Toulon Opera Company’s production of South Pacific, the first time the show had been performed in France.

Emma trained with Michael Hampshire, Sandra Whiteley and at Valerie Jackson’s Stage 84 – The Yorkshire School of Performing Arts, of where she is now a patron.
