Back by popular demand: Afternoon Tea at Rothamsted Manor.
Soon we will open for bookings for our Afternoon Teas. The dates will be:

Sunday 20 June
Sunday 18 July
Sunday 15 August
Join us in the beautiful Rothamsted Manor Great Drawing Room and Library from midday for delicious afternoon teas, all prepared by our in-house chefs.
Rarely open to the public, the Manor is a Grade I listed Jacobean Manor House hidden away on the Rothamsted Estate.
An afternoon tea at the Manor is the perfect celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, engagement, or just to treat yourselves!
We expect to be able to open for bookings soon, if you would like to be informed as soon as our booking system is live, add yourself to our mailing list here.
Our afternoon tea is traditional, with a few modern twists from our in-house chefs. The full menu is available to download here, or alternatively it is also below.
History of the house and gardens
Guests who are interested in the history of the building will be able to pick up a short guide to the history of the house and the gardens.
Coronavirus and social distancing
We are proud to have earnt the industry standard ‘We’re Good to Go’ from Visit Britain. It means we have implemented the Government’s COVID-19 guidance, understand the guidance from Public Health England and have a COVID-19 Risk Assessment in place.
Before 17th May we will be operating at 50% capacity as per Government guidelines. After June 21st we will operate at full capacity (lockdown easing roadmap permitting).
If Government guidelines change, we will always adapt our procedures accordingly, but at the time of writing, the following applies:
