Heritage Open Days is England’s largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,000 local people and organisations, and thousands of volunteers. Every year in September, places across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community, and history. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.
Come to Rothamsted Manor, a rarely open to the public, grade I listed Manor house set in beautiful grounds on the Rothamsted Research estate in Harpenden.
Our historic library will be open throughout the event for cream teas, but we only have a limited number of tables and therefore booking is necessary. Please scroll down to book your table. If you have guests who do not wish to have cream team, but who would like to sit at your table, please put this in the notes section at check out. Please be aware that 6 is the maximum at one table.
